During the winter months, Drae visit the wayfarers shrines dedicated to their clan’s ancestors, lighting candles and tying strips of silk to them with prayers or wishes for the new year written on them, or names of those who are being remembered. This is often done at night, and many a traveler’s tale involves these ghostly shrines and their “unknown” attendants, for the lighting of these shrines is highly secretive and often a duty of the youngest of a clan’s members.
