Logical response to that is Thali is hurting, yes, and because SHE chose to dig herself into her duties that popped up after graduation INSTEAD of following her beloved, she’s pushing the guilt SHE feels onto the one person who’s awake/aware enough to demand answers of. She’s grieving and that grief is refusing to accept responsibility even in part for what has happened because that wouldn’t make it easier for her to survive. The mind is a selfish thing and will try its hardest for survival before anyone else’s, unfortunately.
Part of Thali’s subconscious can also be channelling the need to complete the road she set out on that kept her from being at Tav’s side to begin with. If she doesn’t, his sacrifice wouldn’t just have been in vain, it would have been a brutal, stupid waste. She doesn’t want to see that. So she clings to what still makes sense and in comes a person who chose the path SHE wanted to choose… and failed to stop the horror that’s now assaulting her.
yes it could have, but i think it will fan the flames even more for Lenya.
Huh. So one second she’s ecstatic Lenya is alive and the next she’s running her off!? That’s stupid. :-)
Oh well, better to spend time with one of those hottie guys Lenya ran into awhile back!! ;-)
Tav, Thali’s boyfriend, is dead. Remember when they separated during the graduation, Tav was traveling with Lenya.
He’s not dead, more trapped in a nightmareish coma. But yes, this is why Thali’s upset!
He’s only *mostly* dead. With all dead there’s only one thing to do: go through his pockets looking for loose change.
Guess they’re not friends anymore?
Oof…. read through your entire archive today, and now I’m out of pages. T_T
More soon! Thanks for reading :)
Thali is hurting, doesn’t make it better by hurting Lenya :(
Just… how is any of this Lenya’s fault? Would Thali really rather it was Lenya lying in a coma? o_O
Okay Lenya, you have more incentive to find the answers now
Grief and fear don’t play very well together :/
Yeah, hopefully Thali will have time to grieve, and help Lenya
I hope so too!

Wow, this got long >>; Sorry. <3
No, that’s brilliant, and exactly what I was going for. So thank you! Feelings around tragedy are complex and often self-protective like that.
Ouch!
