Announcements and such
Hey, out there, to anyone who is still watching this space – and I know there are some of you (I’m working on finding the login that can approve comments). It’s been a while. I know. It’s funny (and not) but after a while, the shame of hiatus becomes even more fuel for the inertia of it. In the time since I’ve last updated here, my life has seen a fair amount of change and I’ve had to learn some lessons in balance. (Who’s kidding? I’m still learning.) As a part of that balance, I really want to start working on Halflight again.
It’s been a labor of love and good for my brain to have this project to work on. So I’m getting back to it. It’s in the midst of many other work-and-home projects, so my timeline isn’t immediate, not the least because all of my technology is packed away in boxes cleverly labeled things like “computer and kitchen stuff” and “miscellaneous”. That being said, I want to make this process more transparent and to be able to provide proof of progress, so I made a halflight-specific twitter @halflightcomics and will be hopefully posting more specific updates and expected relaunch times there as they come to being. So if you use twitter, follow me there! If not, I’m open to suggestions.
Thank you all for still checking this space and for reading the comic that I’ve put more hours than I can count into creating. Here’s to more to come.
I am the last person on earth without a Twitter account, so I won’t be following you there, but I look forward to seeing the comic return! It’s funny, I was just thinking today about whether I should unsubscribe from the feed, since it had been 2 years since the last post. My usual threshold for considering a feed to be dead is 1 year, but I kept hanging onto it each time I checked, just in case.
Thanks so much for hanging on :) It’s definitely coming. I had quite a few almost-finished pages that will give me a good headstart.
Casual lurker reporting! Whatever you decide to do, whatever you actually end up doing, I certainly hope it’s the thing that brings you joy. : )
Thanks casual lurker :) Sometimes it’s awfully hard to give ourselves permission to do the things that give us joy. But I’m definitely working on it.
Hi. I’ve been wondering, what has happened. I kept checking this website since the last update to see, if there’s a continue to Half-Light. It looks really good so far. Keep up the good work and I’m looking foward to more of it.

Lucky me! I just refound your comic in my pile-o-randum links. Glad to hear you’re looking to get back into it. I don’t have twitter, so I’ll just be randomly checking here. You’ve got a while before I’m actually checking for new, since it’s been so long I’m going to be starting from the begining (actually I’m doing that with a lot of comics I used to read).

Well… looks like nothing ever came of this :( I was kinda hoping that being advised or ordered to stay home as much as possible might lead to new comics actually occuring, but seems not. Le sigh.
ACTUALLY! I’ll be updating again starting this Wednesday! For real this time. I actually have to work still because I’m essential apparently but it turns out a global pandemic is in fact the kick in the butt I needed.
